I have been working privately on the Wirral as a counsellor since 2003. In my time as a counsellor I have always had private clients, but I have worked with the NHS for Wirral & Cheshire, as well as Insurance companies and Corporations that have needed my services for their staff.
I have been trained in several approaches, Person Centred, TA, CBT, Mindfulness, Gestalt, Body Psychotherapy, Redecision therapy, Integrative Psychotherapy, & Relational Psychotherapy. I’ve been very lucky to have been trained with internationally recognised psychotherapists/psychologists, such as Richard Erskine (Phd.), Vann Jionnes, Claude Steiner, Ian Stewart, Dr. Alison Miller & Dr. Chris Willard.
Psychotherapy and counselling has developed a lot during the last ten years and I feel it’s important to keep on top of developments. I do this by continuing my own development. I feel it’s very important that you go with what works for the client, not one therapy fits all.
